We have a strong team of 40+ on sites, delivering work to the highest of standards.  Many of our site team started as apprentices and continue their career with us.  

Our Office Team

Our office team have between them over 100 years experience of getting electrical projects from design to completion.

Fred Hood - Managing Director

Fred has a wealth of experience in the electrical industry. He has been owner of McNally and Thompson since 1997 and has always put the customer first – providing that all important professional service.

In his spare time Fred is a religious man – his religion is football and he spends match days at Sunderland Stadium of Light… praying a lot!

Dave Wealleans - Operations Director

With 25 years experience in the electrical industry Dave is a highly motivated construction professional who provides energy and focus to efficiently deliver complex and challenging projects – ensuring that client expectations are always met and where possible, exceeded.

In his spare time he likes to keep himself fit.

Mark Taylor - Contracts Manager

Mark has worked in the electrical industry for 30 years and brings outstanding project management skills to the team. He is very organised and ambitious and his expertise includes managing project teams, pre-planning, negotiating, budgeting and ensuring good client relationships on all projects.

In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, taking long walks in the countryside and watching Rugby.

Mike West - Estimator

Mike has been in estimating now for 20 years and is the contact point for customer pricing enquiries. His work is accurate and precise, allowing him to meet some tight deadlines.

In his spare time Mike races model cars at National Level.

Jackie Winship - Office Manager

Jackie has worked in office administration for over 25 years. Her experience in administrative activities and Sage accounts is vast and facilitates the smooth running of the office.

In her spare time she enjoys the odd glass of red and shopping.

Deb Fisher - Administration Assistant 

Deb has worked in an office for many years and gained extensive experience in all aspects of administration duties and customer care skills.

In her spare time Deb likes to take her pet Labrador Charlie for walks.

Gary Scott - Contracts Engineer

Gary has had experience in the running of multiple large electrical projects and being responsible for M & E aspects of jobs. He has also been responsible for the overseeing and controlling of project expenditure.

In his spare time Gary likes spending time with his family, keeping fit and watching sport.

Karla Turnbull - Estimating Support Administrator

Karla's role is to help our estimating team run smoothly.

In her spare time Karla enjoys shopping, socialising and spending time with her family.

Philip Lowes - Electrical Project Engineer/Estimator

Phil has been in the industry for 20 years, lots of experience in the commercial Electrical sector as well as the Domestic and light industrial.

He is carrying out a variety of tasks including estimating and contract managing competently, from initial enquiry to hand over and completion.

​Spare time Phil is a big Sunderland fan and enjoys running, golf, socialising and spending time with his family.

Mark Hoyle - Estimator

Mark has worked in construction and the electrical industry for over 38 years, both running his own small electrical contracting business, as well working for  one of the biggest construction companies in the UK. He brings in depth knowledge and extensive experience within the electrical industry.

He is highly motivated construction professional who enjoys not only meeting, but exceeding the customers’ expectations.

During his spare time Mark likes to spend time with his family, socialising and walking ‘Jack’ the pet Westie.
